Tyree Bratcher, 17, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder while armed in connection to the fatal midday shooting of Tyreek Moore in late January, the Metropolitan Police Department announced on Wednesday.

Officers were called shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 to the 4600 block of Minnesota Avenue NE to investigate a reported shooting, where they found one person who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and Moore inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

First responders attempted to save Moore, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation of their injuries.

On Tuesday, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested the Southeast DC teen, who was taken into custody without incident and charged with the murder.

The fatal shooting remains under investigation.
